Seed Stitch Scarf

My mom and dad sent a care package a couple of weeks ago. For me, they included a Meredith College t-shirt (woo hoo!) and 2 skeins of Patons Bohemian in Beatnik Blues. For Simon and me, they included the game Mancala because they know just how much Simon loves playing games, especially Chicken Foot.

Most knitters know seed stitch, so I haven’t exactly broken new ground with this pattern. But I’m sharing it because I’m so pleased with the subtle texture of this scarf (which I didn't quite manage to capture in this photo).

Yarn: Patons Bohemian (2 skeins) or comparable super bulky chenille (2.8 oz = 68 yds / 80 g = 62 m)

Needles: 10 ½

Finished size: 7" x 54" (or 18 cm x 137 cm)

Directions
Cast on 17 stitches.
Every row: K1, P1 across, ending with K1.
When only about two yards of yarn remain, bind off loosely.
