Training Continues

Yesterday, Simon and I put in 54 miles, riding to Gorinchem and then taking the train back. On our route, we had to take two ferries. The first went from Moordrecht over the Hollandsche Ijssel. About one minute and €1.50 (about $1.75) later, we were in Gouderak.


The second, which departed from Bergstoep and crossed the Leak, lasted about five minutes, well, maybe 10, if we include the time we spent waiting for the ferry to depart. We needed a sandwich break anyway.



Today, we returned to the bulb fields around Lisse and the Keukenhof and did about 22 miles.

Both trips were followed by curries and curry-appropriate beverages.
